Introduction
and Background
My name is John Anthony, owner and craftsman of
AZA Woodworking Plus. I make furniture and cabinetry
incorporating classical methods employed by old
world cabinetmakers and modern methods and machines
to produce results of high quality, durability
and beauty.
I have been a woodworker since
1985 and have made many pieces of furniture both
stand-alone and built-in over the years. Some
of my formal experience includes Windsor chair
making under Michael Dunbar at the Windsor Institute
in New Hampshire and, as a result, I learned many
techniques that are useful not only in furniture
making but also in general cabinetmaking and carpentry.
I have attended several clinics including a seminar
on seating furniture in Williamsburg, Virginia.
This enterprise is a culmination
of my desire to use my skills and experience to
create the results of fine craftsmanship in every
project undertaken no matter whether it is building
a piece of stand alone furniture, a wall of bookcases,
an entertainment center, completing a kitchen
or bath remodel, or other restoration or remodeling
project in residential or commercial settings.
I invite you to view the samples
of my work in the gallery pages and offer feedback
with questions and comments.
